Thank you for supporting our work!
Firelands is made up of two sister organizations. Direct your support how it works for you:
Firelands Workers United / Trabajadores is Unidos is home to Firelands policy advocacy, political endorsements, and electoral engagement. This is work through which working people in rural WA develop our political voice. We rely most heavily on the funding support and solidarity of individual donors to carry out this work. Donations are not tax-deductible.
Firelands Workers Building Community Power / Trabajadores Construyendo Power de la Comunidad is fiscally sponsored by the 501(c)(3) charitable organization Latino Community Fund of Washington and is home to our base-building, leadership development, education, research, and non-partisan civic engagement work. Donations are tax-deductible.
Giving Options
100% United. If you do not need to deduct your donation in your taxes, we strongly encourage you to donate to Firelands Workers Action Acción de Trabajadores. Foundation grants almost always go to 501(c)(3) work and it is difficult to raise funds with the flexibility to do 501(c)(4) work.
50% United, 50% Building Community Power. If you do need to deduct your donation in your taxes, we would ask that you consider splitting your gift. We welcome any split that is feasible for you! To split your gift you need to make two separate donations, one to each organization.
100% Building Community Power. Thank you!
